Pandemy Mood by Claú Clará

€64.00

Claú Clará is a photographer based in Guatemala. 5 years ago she found her way out of depression and grief with the help of her camera. Since then she ambitiously photographs and tries to improve her skills. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, her family members lost their jobs and she, working as an accountant back then, was left to be the only one sustaining her family. She even took over the payments for her father's medical bills.

Starting out as a mobile photographer in 2016 at first she soon got into digital photography and bought herself a Nikon 3300. Unfortunately the lens of her favorite camera broke later this year but nevertheless she continued photographing even though the lens couldn't focus anymore. We followed this on Instagram and were amazed of Claú Clará's ambition and that she never gives up.

At one point a bonus arrived from her company and she was able to restore the broken lens with a new one. But unexpectedly with the rise of the infections her company had to fire her soon after. This was end of July and since then Claú Clará and her family are left with no more than their savings.

Her photograph “Pandemy Mood” literally summarizes this story. It comes nicely printed and framed and the shipping to EU countries is included in the price.
